The Knight is the main protagonist of the Team Cherry's 2017 indie video game Hollow Knight.
What Makes it a Guile Hero?[]
- It first passes through the King's Pass, the player can nail bounce on spikes to get the Fury of the Fallen charm. It then goes on to explore the well under Dirtmouth.
- There, it fights the False Knight who is skippable as after the first phase, the wooden boards fall off, giving the player a chance to destroy the left gate. Alternatively, they may also defeat False Knight. It gets the Shaman blast and defeats the nasty bug that was a problem with the Shaman.
- It then goes to Greenpath and defeats Hornet, despite her great training.
- It goes to the Fungal Wastes and defeats the Mantis Lords gaining their respect and the ability to wall jump.
- Going into the City of Tears, the Knight will defeat Soul Master and steal his diving power. It then meets Hornet once more, who tells it to fight the infection, it must be branded with the King's Mark.
- It then goes to Crystal Peak and obtains the Crystal Heart which allows it to speed through places. The player may also defeat Crystal Guardian.
- Going into the Resting Ground the player will gain the Dreamnail and may defeat a boss, Revak there.
- It then goes into the Waterways to defeat Dung Defender and gains access to Yzma's grove to obtain Yzma's tear and swim in acid.
- It then goes into Kingdom's edge to defeat Hornet at her very best and be branded King of Hallownest. Going into the Abyss with the Mark of King, it obtains the Shade Cloak giving the ability to travel through Shadow Gates and phase through enemies.
- It then goes onto the Queen's Garden's to defeat Traitor Lord and obtain half of the King's Soul from the Queen of Hallownest.
- The player then may go to Deepnest to kill one of the Dreamers there. And one in the City of Tears and finally, one in Fog Canyon. Defeating 2 of the guardians in the Dreamer chambers.
- The player may optionally go into the Hive and kill of the Hive Knight and freeing him from the Radiance.
- The player may also go into the White Palace and dodge buzz saws and spears to finally obtain the other half of the King's Soul. The player can get 1 ending without the Voidheart:
- Imprison the Radiance within yourself by killing the Hollow Knight.
- The Player may also choose to convert the King's Soul into the Voidheart and have 2 options for defeating the Radiance:
- Defeat the Hollow Knight and imprison Hornet inside with you as a Dreamer.
- Go into the Hollow Knight's mind to defeat the Radiance and imprison her within the Void.
- While it's not manipulative considering it has no mouth, it can make deals with other people and can convince them to do certain things. For instance, wearing the stink charm will give you discounted prices at the bug who sells you fragile charms. Also, it can literally can through any situation be it literal spike traps platforming challenges, boss fights that pretty much require the player to think on their feet a lot of the time.
- Other than Hornet there's not much and the Knight still beats her.
