The T-850 is the tritagonist of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. It is a terminator that had once worked for Skynet and had succeeded in its goal in killing John Connor. Shortly after the death of John, the T-850 was captured by Katherine Brewster, so it could be reprogrammed into protecting the past version of herself and John from the T-X. Once the T-850 arrives in the past, it saves John and Kate from the T-X many times, while leading them into a nuclear bunker for their survival against Judgment Day.
What Makes It a Guile Hero?[]

- Using its similar appearance of John Connor's T-800 guardian, so it could exploit John's feelings and have him terminated.
- Got reprogrammed by Katherine, resulting in the T-850 would reform into a hero that would protect her past self and John.
2004[]
- Going into a nightclub to gather clothes and equipment for its hunt to protect John and Kate from the T-X.
- As it searched for clothes, it specifically looked for its best match, who is the stage performer.
- Hijacking a truck and using the watch inside the truck to calibrate itself into learning the time zone of the past.
- Ramming the truck into the T-X and rescuing Kate. As it rescued Kate, it asked for her to reveal John's location Upon getting its information, the T-850 locks up Kate inside to van to secure her safety and goes to look for John.
- Rescued John and has him drive the truck, while fighting off the T-X.
- Stealing a motorbike from a police officer to chase down the T-X from harming John and Kate.
- Maneuvering the motorcycle to avoid getting hit by the debris that the T-X was creating.
- Shooting the wheels of the T-X's crane truck to reduce its ability to drive.
- Once it crashes into a firetruck, the T-850 steals it from the firefighters to go after the T-X.
- Using the firetruck to hop onto the crane truck and throw the T-X off the driver seat.
- Seeing that the T-X is still latching onto the crane truck, the T-850 releases the crane inside a manhole, so that the T-X may flip over with the truck. After dealing with the T-X, the T-850 then hops inside John's truck to secure him and Kate.
- Explaining John on what had happened in the future to prepare him. Revealed the T-X's plans to kill John's lieutenants and how the T-X terminator functions.
- Seeing the hydrogen cell overheating inside its body, the T-850 removes it with John's knife.
- Stocking up on supplies inside a gas station. Before leaving, it shows the cashier of the gas station its hand as a way to negotiate in a cool manner.
- Going into the cemetery to pick up the weapons that Sarah Connor had left behind before dying from cancer.
- Tanking Kate's shot and warning her to not shoot again.
- Holding John by the neck to make him angry, as it believes that "anger is more useful than despair." Showing itself to have extensive knowledge on human psychology.
- Stuffing John inside a coffin to protect him from the battle against the SWAT team.
- Pretending to shoot the SWAT team with a machine gun to have them stop firing, so that John is delivered safely into a car.
- Attacking the T-X with a rocket launcher to save Kate from it.
- Seeing Kate question on how the T-X appeared like Scott, the T-850 explains to her of the T-X's shapeshifting abilities and that Scott is dead.
- Driving the car in a reckless manner to shake off the T-X from hanging on.
- Drove under a truck to get rid of the T-X out of the car.
- Seeing the damaged car, the it suggests to John and Kate on getting a new vehicle.
- Wanted to take John and Kate to Crystal Peak, so that they could be protected by the nuclear explosions of Judgment Day.
- Seeing John and Kate's determination to stop Judgment Day even though it is inevitable, it lies to them that Crystal Peak has a failsafe to stop Skynet, so that the both of them are protected and are able to accept their destiny to fight Skynet.
- Postponed its goals to help John and Kate protect Robert Brewster from the T-X.
- Shooting the T-X to protect Robert Brewster from getting injured even further.
- Climbing onto the ceiling to steal the T-1's machine gun to battle another T-1.
- Upon being reacquired by the T-X, the T-850 orders John and Kate to run away for safety, while it battles the T-X.
- Seeing that it is out of bullets to fight the T-X, the T-850 takes out a compressed tank to smack the T-X.
- Ripping off a urinal to smack the T-X and then throwing it to the walls.
- While it gets its face burnt off by the T-X's flamethrower, the T-850 uses an electrical wire to briefly escape the T-X.
- Although it gets reprogrammed by the T-X to kill John and Kate, it warns John and Kate to stay away from itself so they can save themselves.
- Right before it kills John, it shuts itself down to prevent the T-X's reprogramming from ruining its mission to save John and Kate.
- Eventually reactivates itself freed from the T-X's reprogramming to save John and Kate from it.
- Rammed the T-X with a helicopter, resulting in the T-X's external disguise destroyed.
- Hurried to stop the giant gate from closing on John and Kate.
- Seeing the T-X attack John, the T-850 holds it off to provide John and Kate the opportunity to hide inside Crystal Peak.
- Using its last hydrogen cell to blow itself up, alongside the T-X.
