Sunset Shimmer, or more shortly known as Sunset, is one of the seven titular main protagonists of the Equestria Girls franchise.
She is voiced by Rebecca Shoichet.
What Makes Her A Guile Hero?[]
- Was initially Princess Celestia's top student in magic before Sunset Shimmer decided to run away from Princess Celestia and into the Crystal Mirror to reach the human world.
- Manages to control Canterlot high school into fearing her by manipulating multiple students into breaking their friendships.
- Sneaks into the castle of the Crystal Empire to steal Twilight Sparkle's crown of the Element of Magic.
- Accidentally alerted the ponies inside the castle and manages to escape into the magic mirror.
- Uses Snips and Snails in an attempt to frame Twilight Sparkle to get her out of the competition of claiming the crown in the fall formal.
- Uses the portal as a way to bargain the crown from Twilight Sparkle.
- While Sunset Shimmer loses when she becomes a demon, she begs for forgiveness after her defeat from Twilight Sparkle. Twilight Sparkle forgives Sunset Shimmer, so Sunset Shimmer manages to recover from her slip-up during her redemption.
- Sends a message to Twilight Sparkle from her notebook, so that Twilight Sparkle can stop the Dazzlings.
- Is able to theorized that Twilight and her friends can use music to defeat the Dazzlings.
- Is able to get the Twilight and her friends to stop arguing.
- Gets the confidence to sing with the Rainbooms to defeat the Dazzlings.
- Continues to learn how magic learns in the human world.
- Investigates Sci-Twi to make sure that Sci-Twi is not causing anyone to be in danger.
- Collects the magic from her friends to become Daydream Shimmer to fight Midnight Sparkle.
- Acts as a mentor to Sci-Twi to help Sci-Twi control her magic.
- Initially suspects Timber Spruce to be the culprit that is ruining Camp Everfree, but eventually learns that it was Gloriosa Daisy.
- Brings Starlight Glimmer to the human world to spend time together.
- Goes back to Equestria to learn about the Memory Stone.
- She and Trixie Lulamoon team up together to find the culprit that had used the Memory Stone.
- Learns that Wallflower Blush was the culprit of using the Memory Stone.
- Defeats Wallflower Blush and later befriends her.
