Starlight Glimmer is the tritagonist of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
She is voiced by Kelly Sheridan in English.
What Makes Her A Guile Hero?[]
Season 5[]
- Despite being a villainess, Starlight was able to demonstrate her intelligence by being able to manipulate her entire isolated village through having it's members give up their cutie marks willingly to her.
- She faked her kindness towards Twilight and her friends to gain their trust before taking their Cutie Marks away.
- Once Starlight Glimmer was defeated, she almost stole the cutie marks of Twilight and her friends.
- After her defeat Starlight Glimmer spied on Twilight's friends throughout multiple episodes as a background character for revenge.
- Starlight Glimmer sent Twilight and Spike to multiple bad futures by time travel and almost beat them. That is until Twilight and Spike offered their friendship to Starlight. Starlight accepted their friendship and redeems herself.
Season 6[]
- Starlight was able to delay her friendship episode for a few minutes by having Spike list his heroic deeds in front of the Crystal Empire ponies.
- Starlight came up with the idea of Sunburst being potentially helpful in saving the Crystal Empire.
- When Sunburst revealed himself to not be a wizard, Starlight Glimmer encouraged him to at least make an attempt to help the Crystal Empire. This eventually gave Sunburst an idea on how to fix the Crystal Heart to save the Crystal Empire.
- Starlight Glimmer is able to help Trixie perform a dangerous magic trick called the "Moonshot Manticore Mouth Dive."
- Starlight manages to brainwash the Mane Six into helping her finish her friendship lesson alongside them. While the brainwashing goes wrong in the end, Starlight apologized for her actions towards the Mane Six and The Mane Six forgive her.
- Starlight Glimmer teams up with Trixie, Thorax, and Discord to defeat the Changelings and Queen Chrysalis from taking over Equestria.
- Starlight Glimmer suggest to her team to make a secret code word, so they won't be separated by the Changelings.
- Starlight uses Trixie's smoke bombs and Thorax's shapeshifting skills to evade the Changelings and get further into the Changeling's hive.
- Starlight uses Discord's chaotic attitude to distract the Changeling guards while her, Trixie, and Thorax sneak through the guards.
- Starlight has Thorax disguise himself as her, so that Thorax can distract Queen Chrysalis while Starlight takes the time in an attempt to smash the throne.
- Starlight suggest Thorax to share his love to Chrysalis which causes all of the other Changelings to do the same. In the end, Starlight Glimmer was able to redeem the Changelings and defeat Chrysalis.
Season 7[]
- While she gets angry at Trixie for acting non-chalant and cocky towards her throughout the episode "All Bottled Up", it is justified because she accidentally teleports the Cutie Map away and wasting their time going to other places when they're supposed to meet up with Twilight. When her anger accidentally brainwashed Granny Smith, Bulk Biceps and Jeweler Pony, she later drains it to release them from her brainwashing and reconciled with Trixie later on.
- Switched both Princess Celestia and Princess Luna's cutie marks in order to make them work together, which effectively get them to reconciled at the end.
- Convince Pharynx to change his ways and moved on from the past.
- Helps the Changelings to defeat Maulwurf.
- She was very aware that Pony of Shadows will be released from limbo if the Pillars of Equestria were released and that Stygian has a good intentions behind his actions, which proven to be true later on.
Trivia[]
- Previously she was originally considered Inconsistently Heinous and Near Pure Good meaning she is the only Guile Hero who is both Inconsistently Heinous and Near Pure Good. However, due to the removal for her in the Inconsistently Heinous wiki, she was later rejected meaning that she is no longer Inconsistently Heinous. Thus, Starlight Glimmer remains both Guile Hero and Near Pure Good due to her worst crime being unintentionally making her no longer Inconsistently Heinous.
- She is the icon of the Otheruses template.
