Sly Cooper is the titular main protagonist of the series with the same name, he is a thieving raccoon from a family line of thieves that are skilled on their heists in sneaking in crafty ways to get their wealth, and as Sly was about to get his guiding tutelage from his father, his family was killed by the Fiendish Five who took the Thievius Raccoonus, a book of document instructions on how to the be a master thief from him, making Sly an orphan who lived with two friends that helped him bring the pages of his book back.
He is voiced by Kevin Miller.
What makes him a Guile Hero?[]
General[]
- Despite being a thief, he holds a moral rule to only steal from other thieves and people that deserved it.
- He is always on good terms with Murray and Bentley viewing them as his best friends.
- He always quick on his feet even when the plan becomes a bust.
- He is a great master of disguise always able to fool everyone with his tricks.
- While he loves to troll Carmelita around when she chases him, it actually shows that he loved her.
- While he can get into some mess-ups such as being injured by Neyla or getting backstabbed by Le paradox, he is able to brush it off and try for the better.
Thievius Raccoonus[]
- He is able to recover the Thievius Raccoonus by beating the Fiendish Five and recovering all the keys he needs to reach them.
- He always encourages Murray to never be afraid even when he is at his toughest.
- When confronting Clockwerk he proclaimed that the book doesn't make great thieves it takes great thieves to make the book thus honoring his family ancestry.
Band of Thieves[]
- He attempted to restore all the Clockwerk parts to prevent Klaww gang from using them although it failed.
- He is a great dancer with both Neyla and Carmelita Fox and manages to impress Rajan long enough for Murray to take the wings from the statue.
- Tricks a hypnotized Murray into ramming into the devices that were hypnotizing him.
- He tried to warn Dimitri that the Clockwerk parts can be dangerous when into the wrong hands although it failed.
- He defeated Clock-la along with the gang and Carmelita to end her reign of terror for good.
Honor Among Thieves[]
- He got Dimitri out of jail.
- He helped Murray defeat Octavio by opening up the tar values to slow him down in his tracks.
- Despite having a grudge on him for being responsible for the death of his father he is able to help Panda King rescue his Daughter from a force marriage by General Tsao himself.
- Tricks Carmelita into dressing up as a bride in order to have General Tsao get arrested for his actions.
- He disguises himself as a pirate to gain Black Spot Pete's trust and to find where Dimitri's father scuba gear is at.
- He took the blast from Dr. M to save Carmelita.
- And then he faked having amnesia in order to be with Carmelita for a bit.
Thieves in Time[]
- After Penelope's betrayal he then comforted Bentley about it and felt sorry for it.
- He saved his history and Cooper ancestry line from the envious Le Paradox from using time to take over the world.
- He uses the disguises unique abilities to go through the missions like when he used the armor to sneak in to free Riochi Cooper or uses the jailbird costume to break him and Tennesse Kid Cooper out of prison while even fooling Le paradox and Ms. Decibel with his fake Italian accent.
