Sidney Prescott is the main protagonist of the Scream franchise.
She is portrayed by Neve Campbell.
What Makes Her a Guile Hero?[]
In General[]
- Throughout each film, she has gotten progressively smarter, with many of the old Ghostface tricks that used to work on her, no longer being enough to trick her.
- Throughout ever film, Sidney has been able to consistently avoid the Ghostface attacks thanks to her quick thinking.
- Even if the Ghostfaces are often able to keep their identities hidden from her until they choose to reveal themselves. Sidney manages to bounce back each time and triumph over them.
- While she often isn't able to figure out who Ghostface is, when they do reveal themselves, she is always able to outplay and triumph over them.
Scream (1996)[]
- While Billy and Stu weren't looking, Sidney quickly fled before calling Billy and Stu, taunting them and causing Billy to have a full on villainous breakdown.
- When Billy was looking for her, she burst out of the closet and impaled
- When Stu persued and gained on her, she bit his finger and bashed him over the head with a plant pot, knocking him off her before pushing a TV onto his head, electrocuting him to death.
- When Billy started strangling her, she stuck a finger into his wound in order to get him to stop.
- When Billy tried to come back for one last scare, Sidney shot him in the head, not giving him the chance.
Scream 2[]
- She tricked Nancy Loomis into thinking that Mickey was still alive after she shot him several times, allowing her to bash a glass over her head and escape.
- Begins messing with the stage's set in order to terrify, harm and hopefully kill Nancy.
- She convinces Cotton Weary to kill Nancy by promising him fame for killing the Ghostfaces, a promise which she kept.
- She shot Nancy in the head one last time to assure that she stayed dead.
- When Mickey came back for a surprise attack, she and Gale quickly killed him by shooting him several times.
Scream 3[]
- When Roman Bridger tried to accuse her of ruining his life and being the reason he was a killer, Sidney called him out, stating that he had no one to blame but himself.
- When Roman was being distracted by Detective Kincaid, Sidney grabbed his knife in order to try and stab him.
- Wore a bulletproof vest thar prevented her from being killed by Roman when she was shot twice by him.
- Pretended to be dead so that when Roman once again became distracted by the voices of Gale and Dewey, she proceeded to jump him front behind, stabbing him multiple times in the back before stabbing him in the heart, presumably killing him.
- When Roman came back for one last scare, she told Dewey to shoot him in the head as the chest wouldn't work due to his bulletproof vest, with Dewey doing so and thus leading to Roman's definitive death.
Scream 4[]
- When Dewey, Gale and Judy came into the room and Jill shifted her priority to them, Sidney turned on the defibrillator, snuck up behind her, and electrocuted her in the head.
- When Jill tried to sneak up behind her in order to stab her, Sidney, knowing that Ghostfaces are always standing right behind them, grabbed a gun and shot her in the head before she could attack Sidney.
Scream (2022)[]
- After returning to Woodsboro, she tried to convince Samantha Carpenter to help her take down Ghostface, as she knows that if they don't, they will always follow her.
- When Sam denied this, Sidney put a tracking device on her car in order to follow them, know that a Ghostface was likely to follow.
- When Amber tried to fake being stabbed by the Ghostface, Sidney was skeptical. not believing it to be real, with her asking what Gale thought.
- Using her gun, she shot at the various doors in Stu's house in order to hopefully get the killer out of hiding and to finish them off.
- She along with Gale surprise attacked Amber and while she did briefly get her power back, they managed to once more gain the upperhand over her, eventually causing her to be burned alive by the stove.
- When Richie is killed, she warns Sam that the Ghostfaces always come back for one last scare.
Scream VI[]
- She, along with her husband and children, fled the state so that they wouldn't have to deal with the Ghostface killers anymore.
