Ryōhei Arisu is the main protagonist of the Alice in Borderland Live-Action, Manga, and Anime OVA series. In the series, he alongside Daikichi Karube and Chōta Segawa are transported into a mysterious city with no inhabitants, forced to play dangerous games to survive. Arisu in the games, helps his friends and the other players beat games to ensure they all survive to find answers as to how they can all go back home.

What Makes Him A Guile Hero?[]

Season 1[]

  • Figured out the room patterns of the "Dead or Alive" to help his friends survive.
  • Warned and worked with other players to be aware of their killer's location.
  • He and Usagi pressed the two red buttons to beat the second game.
  • Desperately wanted to find answers to have his all his friends survive the "Hide and Seek" game.
  • When all his friends had died in the Hide and Seek game, he regains the will to play more games with Usagi's help.
  • Returned back to the bus with Usagi Yuzuha when they realized that the bus was the place they needed to be in to survive a flood.
  • Found out the identity of the witch in the "Witch Hunt" game.

Season 2[]

  • Decided for he and his friends to participate in games as a way to gain protection from a shooter that is killing players.
  • Works with Suguru Niragi to have enough players to enter the Osmosis game, despite his hatred for him.
  • Collected items for the Osmosis battle to gain more points and the beat the Ginji's team.
  • Created a complex plan where Usagi Yuzuha, distracts a member of Ginji's team, so that he and his remaining teammates can touch the Ginji's base.
  • Shattered Tatta's hand, so that the latter's bracelet can be taken and be secretly used to battle against the Ginji.
  • Pretended to admit defeat to Ginji, so that the latter may lower his guard and do a handshake for a battle.
  • Hunting a rabbit with Usagi Yuzuha to eat food for tonight.
  • Watching a film documentary to learn more about the empty city that he and Usagi are in.
  • Teamed up with Akane Heiya and Morizono Aguni to fight the King of Spades shooter in the forest.
  • Figured out that Usagi is going to play a physical game to get more visas.
  • He and Usagi convinced three players to work with them in defeating the queen and tagging the other players.
  • Strategized with Morizono Aguni, Yuzuha Usagi, Akane Heiya, Rizuna An, and Hikari Kuina to kill the King of Spades shooter. While they all fought the shooter, Arisu took the time to create an explosive environment using many spray bottles.
  • Led the King of Spades shooter to his location, planning to release a bomb to kill the King of Spades.
  • Played croquet to beat Mira in the game.
  • After the second round of croquet, he asked Mira to learn more of the borderland world and how to get back to the original world.
  • Refused to believe Mira's false answers to his questions.
  • Managed to regain the will to continue playing against Mira with Usagi's help to escape Mira's gaslighting illusion.
  • He and Usagi escaped the borderland world and returned to their original world.
