Rita Malone is the deuteragonist of Dreamworks' 13th full-length animated feature film Flushed Away, which is also Aardman's third feature film. She is Roddy's love interest.
She was voiced by Kate Winslet.
What Makes Her A Guile Hero?[]
- She hid her ship from the Toad's henchmen in a clever manner by covering it with her sail which camouflages it against a brick wall and likely would not have been caught by them had it not been for Roddy accidentally screwing them over.
- She was able to fight off some of the Toad's henchmen using her combat skills and was only stopped by Whitey grabbing her due to him being stronger and bigger than her.
- She unlocked the cuffs the Toad put her and Roddy in with a paper clip she had, unscrewed the lid on top of the room they were in the refrigerator, tricked Spike and Whitey into falling in and getting themselves frozen instead, and escaped the Toad and his henchmen by stealing his master cable and putting it around a rope and sliding away.
- She is shown to be athletic as displayed by a moment where she jumped off a pipe from a really high place to various objects before landing on the floor on her feet.
- She is shown to be sneaky as displayed by her managing to sneak back on to the ship Roddy stole from her in a moment of misunderstanding and misinterpretation.
- She successfully outsmarts the Toad's henchmen in a chase scene by getting one of them stuck in purple custard that she squirted using one of the machines on her boat, tricks one into landing into a balloon and then bouncing onto one of the other henchmen (this one was technically more on Roddy though she did contribute to the stunt so I figured this was worth mentioning), and getting Spike off her boat by speeding it up to the point where the wire Spike was tied to yanked him out of the boat and sent him flying in the air quite literally screaming like a girl and hitting two iron pipes and sliding on another one while getting parts of his body hurt from the parts on the pipes and into the boat, causing it to create a hole and get the boat he was in with Whitey sunk.
- She manages to outsmart Le Frog's henchmen by getting their tongues stuck on one of the roots sticking out in the sewers after they foolishly tried to catch a fly with their tongues and got themselves tongue-tied thanks to Roddy, getting them off the boat.
- She manages to counter some of Le Frog's moves in the brief fight she had with him, like throwing him over her when he attacked, catching his tongue, and zipping him up and then after he causes the boat she was on with Roddy to fall into the sewer waters, she nibbles the ropes to open a parachute so that she and Roddy could fly up into the air and manages to take the cable back from Le Frog right under his nose.
- When the Toad revealed his villainous and heinous plot to unleash a flood unto Ratropolis to drown all the rats in it and repopulate the city with his tadpoles, she tries to foil his plans along with Roddy to save the city.
- After Roddy outsmarts the Toad's henchmen by getting one of them frozen, causing two of them (including the frozen one) to slip and fall off the wall, and caused another one to slip on the ice, Rita outsmarts Le Frog's henchmen by freezing them with the nitrogen hose.
- She tricks the Toad into getting his foot frozen on a hole in the nitrogen pipe by provoking him with an insult prompting him to make one step forward onto said hole.
