Purah is one of the supporting characters in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and the younger sister of Impa. She is the Director of the Ancient Hateno Lab who is on a mission to uncover the secrets of technology and make them more efficient than they are previously. She played a major role in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity where she was heavily involved with uncovering future events from Terrako and use it to get the upper hand.

What Makes Her a Guile Hero?[]

In both games, they are scientists and an inventor of various technology, which is proven through the many things they have created, even if some of them didn't turn out like they hoped and shows how they are extremely intelligent.
Each of them has played a role in the war effort to help Link and the Champions battle Calamity Ganon.
They both help out in reassembling Terrako when the warriors gather them from across Hyrule.

On Her Own Accord[]

In Breath of the Wild, she makes an attempt at inventing an anti-aging rune that would make the retired soldiers younger to help increase the numbers in the military ranks and tested it on herself, since she was elderly. It ended up working too well when over the course of days, she was reverted to a small child. Despite that, it doesn't stop her from trying again to make an age-boosting rune to fix the side effects, (which is still in progress).
She helps Link restore the Sheikah Slate's memory system which helps retrieve lost images including photos that are pivotal for Link to recover sections of his memories.
She also increases the conveniences of Link's Sheikah Runes like the Stasis, Cryonic, and Remote Bombs.
In Age of Calamity, her intelligence goes so much farther thanks to the presence of Terrako, who has traveled back in time to warn everyone, of the upcoming danger Calamity Ganon presents and uses the Sheikah Slate to decrypt them, which included the date when Calamity Ganon returned, being on Zelda's seventeenth birthday.
In the Guardian of Remembrance DLC Purah is the first person to spot Terrako falling into danger by Harbinger Ganon, and she lets them know about it while she suggests that they must find energy sources to power up the ancient furnaces. This helps reactivate Terrako and it managed to defeat Harbinger Ganon.
When studying the Sheikah Towers, Purah shows them that they can use them to teleport to any location and distills maps of their respective regions into the Sheikah Slate. This also helps reveal enemy locations like the Yiga Clan Hideout, which Urbosa exploits to get a preemptive advantage over them.
When Purah and the other scientists are taken hostage by the Yiga Clan, Purah remains unfazed by the revelation, and she tosses the Slate to Terrako and tells it to take the latest images to Princess Zelda immediately. Those images show Calamity Ganon attacking the Divine Beasts and slaying their pilots. With this information, it alerts Link, Zelda, and Impa of their situation. That, coupled with Terrako's ability to create Gates of Time to summon anyone from the future, has allowed the group to save the Champions and the Divine Beasts from the Blight Ganons.
Upon gaining further information regarding Ganon's hijacking of the Guardians, she creates and installs a failsafe at Fort Hateno that attacks the source of the corruption and disabled a huge chunk of the Guardians that made up Ganon's army, which did Hyrule a huge favor.
She got one of the Sheikah Towers on the Great Plateau working again and they use it to teleport to the Shrine of Resurrection to help save some of the Hyrulean army and even King Rhoam, who was thought to be dead earlier.
Purah managed to get all of the Sheikah Towers working again and she maximizes their power to summon forces across Hyrule to unite them all.

Trivia[]

Purah is among the four The Legend of Zelda characters to be a Guile Hero, alongside Revali, Robbie, and Urbosa.
