Princess Luna is a major supporting character of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. She used to be Nightmare Moon 1000 years ago due to the jealousy that built up inside her. By becoming Nightmare Moon. Princess Celestia is forced to use the Elements of Harmony to banish Nightmare Moon into the moon. After 1000 years, Nightmare Moon is defeated by the Mane Six and is transformed back into Princess Luna from the Elements of Harmony. As Princess Luna, she dream walks into the dreams of many ponies to give them advice on getting through their insecurities.
