Pops is the tritagonist of Terminator Genisys. Pops is terminator that got reprogrammed by the human resistance from an unknown timeline and got sent to the past, so that Sarah Connor is protected from the T-1000. Throughout its time with her, Pops and Sarah work together in preparation for Kyle Reese and the T-800's arrival into the past. Both Pops and Sarah are able to rescue Reese, while being able to kill the T-800 and the T-1000. With their enemies dead, Reese and Sarah go into the future to stop the birth of Skynet/Genisys, while Pops stays behind for them.
What Makes It a Guile Hero?[]
- Was sent to the past and dedicated its life to protecting Sarah Connor from the T-1000.
- Fought the evil T-800 to give Sarah Connor the chance to shoot it in an unpredictable manner.
- Found that the T-1000 had planted a piece of itself onto the van, in response, Pops shoots the piece to slow down the T-1000 from finding the van.
- Held the T-1000 onto the acid spillage from the ceiling to kill it.
- Worked with Sarah in building a time machine for her and Kyle Reese to be sent to the future,
- Hid a shotgun inside a large teddy bear to give John Connor a surprise attack.
- Fighting John until he gets him temporarily stuck in a MRI machine.
- Ripped off the magnets from the stalk speakers to create fisticuffs that can fight John.
- Proved himself to not be John by saying that he cannot change his body structure with his T-800 model.
- Suggesting that Sarah put her seatbelt on for a safety precaution when starting up the bus.
- Hijacking a police car to go after Sarah, Reese, and John.
- Holding the bus to give Sarah and Reese the opportunity to escape, then dropping the bus for John to fall into the ocean.
- Refused to resist against the cops, seeing that the success probability to fight them all is not a good favor.
- During a interrogation with a detective, he notices John, in a disguise, watching him right outside a glass window.
- Stocked up on weapons and revealed himself to have taken the time to research on how they operate.
- Used his body to shield Reese and Sarah from getting shot by John.
- Directing Reese on the directions to find Cyberdyne Systems.
- Shooting a tanker truck to cause a fiery explosion that can slow down John from following them.
- Jumped out of a flying helicopter to destroy John's helicopter.
- Surprised attack John and had him pinned to a wall of Genisys with a landing strut.
- Infiltrated Cyberdyne Systems and acted as its worker to learn of its infrastructure.
- Seeing that he cannot use the explosive detonator with Sarah being held a hostage by John, Pops hands the explosive detonator to Reese to activate the explosives.
- Using its magnetic fisticuffs in its final fight against John.
- Picking up a laser post to slash John in their fight.
- Once Sarah opens a hole inside John's chest, Pops takes the opportunity to shove his fist into John and have him be held down inside the prototype time machine.
- Once he and John are held down, Pops orders Reese to activate the prototype time machine as a way to have himself get sacrificed to kill John.
- During his sacrificed, Pops requests Reese to take care of Sarah.
- After being able to escape the blast explosion of the prototype time machine and fusing with the mimetic polyalloy, he rescues Sarah and Reese.
