Peeta Mellark is the deuteragonist of the Hunger Games series. He is Katniss Everdeen's partner during the Hunger Games. In the games, he and Katniss work together to survive against the other tributes. In the past, Peeta had given Katniss a piece of burnt bread to feed her from starvation. At the Hunger Games, he uses his bakery skills to survive by creating disguises for himself.
