Max is the main protagonist of the Rooster Teeth web animated show Camp Camp. He is a pessimistic, foul-mouthed and rebellious child who attends Camp Campbell, presumably after his parents no longer wanted to look after him, as his parents never filled in a specific camp for him to go to, showing that they don't care.
What Makes Him A Guile Hero?[]
- He attempts to escape Camp Campbell multiple times in the first episode of the series, albeit to no avail.
- In the episode "David Gets Hard", he tries to stop David from being overly naive and optimistic, and tries to get him to go, well, hard on the resident bully Nurf while reprimanding him in attempt to get him to change his behavior.
- In the season 1 finale "The Order of the Sparrow", when David is on the edge of becoming depressed due to the other campers not going along with his American Indian stunt, Max rallies up the other campers to dress up in traditional Indian clothing to cheer up David.
- In "Cult Camp", he manipulates David into thinking that, since all of the campers "love" Daniel, Cameron Campbell will fire both him and Gwen, and then furthers this by willingly going into Daniel's brainwashing sauna to prove that even he "loves" Daniel, prompting David to challenge Daniel to a song battle, where Daniel slips-up by accidentally revealing his plans to trick the brainwashed campers into drinking poisoned Kool-Aid and taking a sip of said Kool-Aid himself, leading him to be taken to the hospital.
- In "Gwen Gets a Job", Max blackmails Gwen by threatening to tell David about her plans of leaving the camp, getting her to retrieve his stolen teddy bear from the Wood Scouts.
- In "The Lake Lilac Summer Social", Max, alongside Nikki, decides to give Gwen some good karma after she spends way too much time messing with the love lives of kids, by making her dance with the incredibly gross Wood Scout, Jermy Fartz.
- In "Cameron Campbell the Camp Campbell Camper", pretending to be on Cameron Campbell's side when he returns to the camp disguised as a kid, he tricks him into revealing all of his crimes while the radio on his back is switched, allowing his FBI agents to hear the truth, exposing him and saving David from being framed by Campbell.
- In "Camp Corp", he teams up with Campbell and David to recruit all of the Camp Campbell campers after the Campwells caused them to seperate. When Campbell betrays them, and gets ownership of the Camp and a whole load of money, Max makes him realise that money can't buy him happiness, leading Campbell to give the camp to David and turn himself in to the police.
- In "Who Peed the Lake?", he figured out that it was everyone who peed in the lake, although the others blackmailed him into changing his deduction, threatening to tell David he can't swim.
- In "Camp Loser Says What?" Max teams up with David and the Wood Scouts (sans Pikeman) to make a fake version of Daniel's deity Xemug to distract him and stop him from sacrificing all of the campers, alongside Pikeman and Gwen, for his ritual.
