L Lawliet is the main antagonist in Death Note anime/manga series. L is the main archenemy of Light Yagami/Kira. L desires to defeat Kira especially because of his desire to win. L first introduces himself to Kira by using Lind L. Tailor as a decoy to talk through the television broadcast. L uses Lind. L Tailor to bait Kira into exposing himself to the world and the battle between L and Kira begins.
What Makes Him A Guile Hero?[]
- In the past, L was able to solve multiple difficult criminal cases that the police had struggled on.
- L helped Naomi Misora solve the Los Angelas BB seriel murder cases.
- L uses a decoy named Lind L. Tailor to ensure that Kira/Light Yagami is exposed to the public. By having Lind L. Tailor killed, L was able to deduce that Kira is in Japan's Kanto region.
- L was able to deduce that Raye Penber was killed by Kira. L was also to know that Kira was with Raye Penber due to how Ray Penber had died.
- L decides to watch Light as he was one of the people Raye Penber was watching. This makes L certain that Light is Kira.
- L refuses to give up on the fact that Light is Kira.
- L directly approached Light and reveals himself as L. He did this to ensure that if Light is Kira, then Light attempting to kill him would make Light obviously Kira.
- L Lawliet was able to find out about the existence of a second Kira/Misa Amane.
- L was able to capture Misa and prevent himself from getting killed.
- L locks up both Light and Misa to ensure that they are Kira.
- When L releases both Light and Misa, L asks Soichiro Yagami to pretend to shoot Light Yagami. This was to prove that Light and Misa is not Kira before releasing them both.
- L handcuffs himself with Light to ensure that Light is not Kira. L also watches Misa at the same time.
- L gives Light a choice to overtake his place incase L himself dies. This was to see if Light is Kira.
- L tells Soichiro Yagami to not rush at Yotsuba and arrest all it's members. This is to ensure that the new Kira/Kyosuke Higuchi does not escape their grasp.
- L was able to plan on how to capture Kyosuke Higuchi and learn the existence of the Death Note.
- L's secrecy had helped him survive to the point Light Yagami needed to use Rem who is a death god to kill L Lawliet.
