Katie Rosebud Mitchell is the main protagonist of the 2021 sci-fi film The Mitchells vs. the Machines. She is an 18-year-old girl with a strong passion for technology and filmmaking, and dreams to go to college to participate in filming.
What Makes Her A Guile Heroine?[]
- Creating enough short films to get her accepted into film school.
- Continuously tricking Rick into kissing Monchi during the family's road trip.
- Seeking refuge in a dumpster along with the rest of her family to evade being detecting by the machines.
- Formulating a plan to utilize a kill code and robot parts to stop PAL from sending all of humanity into space.
- Encouraging a reluctant Rick to continue in the family's quest to defeat PAL by telling him she believes in him, only to tell Aaron in private that she didn't mean any of it (albeit regretting this later).
- Helping her family defeat the robots attacking them at the mall.
- Destroying the mall in the process of stopping the robots there working for PAL. While she claims it was because it would look cool, it's implied this was also to prevent the robots from being able to track them.
- Using robot parts she obtained to sneak her and her family into the robot's lair in order to insert the kill code.
- Using Monchi to forcefully deactivate the robots, as they malfunction upon seeing dogs.
- Giving a PAL a speech on accepting on how family is worth fighting for in an attempt to talk her out of her omnicide plot (albeit unsuccessfully).
- Playing the song she used to sing with Rick to motivate him into helping her destroy the robots.
- Tossing PAl from the top of the building and into a glass of water, stopping her plan of committing genocide against humanity.
- Tricking Rick into getting kissed by Monchi again when the family initially believed her to be dead.
- While Mark is technically more intelligent than her, he doesn't get much screentime to showcase it, unlike Katie.
