~ Futaba revealing her plan to hack the TV broadcast in order to send Masayoshi Shido's calling card. |
Futaba Sakura, codenamed Oracle while in the Metaverse (Navi in the Japanese version), is a major character in Persona 5. She is a master hacker and was a shut-in that suffered from PTSD of her mother's death before the Phantom Thieves came and changed her heart, causing Futaba to join them and aid them in their quest to expose criminals and reform society.
She is voiced by Aoi Yƫki in Japanese, and Erica Lindbeck in English. She was also played by Mei Fukuda in the stage play.
What makes her a Guile Hero?[]
- She managed to take down the fake Medjed after the Phantom Thieves changed her heart using her hacking skills.
- If you raise up her Confidant up, during battles, she aids the team using her powers, such as buffing the team and saving the protagonist during lethal enemy attacks.
- She aided Makoto Niijima in the plan to expose Akechi as the true traitor and the mole of the team who in truth was working for the conspiracy that was behind the game events, leaded by Masayoshi Shido. Futaba realised that the team could use Sae's palace for their own plan, by making Akechi shoot a cognitive version of the protagonist all the while making him think he killed the real one.
- She used her quirky and geeky nature to gain a look at Akechi's phone. This was a front as she really placed a bug on his phone that would eventually prove to the team that he is a traitor.
- She helped the prosecutor, as well as Makoto's older sister, Sae into realizing that Akechi is a traitor and not what he seems and guides her into saving the protagonist via voice messages on a phone that was with the protagonist in the interrogation room, which in turn leads to Sae redeeming herself.
- She managed to hack into the TV broadcasts all over Japan in order to send a calling card and expose Masayoshi Shido.
In Persona 5 Strikers:[]
- In the Jails. there are these little sections where Futaba has to hack into these control panels in order to proceed, while the rest of the team have to protect her from any nearby Shadows.
- She manages to hack into the TV Station again to send out a calling card to Alice Hiiragi.
- While Kuon Ichinose is preparing an attack to wipe out the Thieves, Futaba manages to butt in using her hacking and stop Ichinose, saving the team.
Trivia[]
