Emmett Brown (also known as Doc) is an inventor, who made a time machine. Marty is his young companion.
What makes them guile heroes?[]
- Doc invented a time machine and made it out of a DeLorean. Marty figured out how to use it.
- Once in 1955, Marty immediately decides to turn to Doc to help him return to 1985.
- Doc realizes that the only thing that can generate 1 gigawatt of electricity is lightning, and Marty discovers where and when it will strike.
- Doc comes up with a plan to bring Marty home, and Marty comes up with a plan to make his future parents fall in love with each other. Both plans work.
- Doc tells Marty that his children will go to prison in 2015 and suggests how this can be prevented.
- Once in the alternative 1985, they immediately understand the reason why the situation is unfamiliar to them and immediately find a way to correct the situation.
- When Doc accidentally ends up in 1885, he immediately sends a letter to Marty, and Marty finds a way to travel to 1885 himself.
- They come up with and implement a plan to defeat Buford Tannen and return to 1985.
