Discord is a character of the web series DEATH BATTLE!, originally from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series. Discord appeared in "Bill Cipher VS Discord", where he fought against Bill Cipher from the Gravity Falls series and lost.

Though the post-fight verdict ruling that Bill Cipher is the winner has become controversial, Discord is portrayed as a Guile Hero who successfully defends and restores Canterlot despite being killed by Bill Cipher in the episode.

He is voiced by Paul Guyet.

What Makes Him a Guile Hero?

• When Bill Cipher invaded Canterlot and transformed Canterlot into a place where nothing but distorted chaos remains, Discord stood against him as the last line of defense in Equestria that hadn't already been neutralized by Bill.
• Managed to put up an incredibly good fight against Bill, while he did ultimately lose, he still gave Bill major difficulty the whole way through thanks to his abilities, tricks, and deceptions.
• Having previously seen Gravity Falls' finale, he uses that knowledge to his advantage by entering Bill's mind as a ghost in an attempt to erase him from the inside, and while this did end up failing, he still got incredibly close to killing him.
• Managed to pull the ultimate gambit on Bill by sending him back to his own realm without even realizing it and restoring Equestria back to normal, and while he did ultimately get killed, he still managed to save his friends, accomplishing the goal he set out to do since the beginning, and getting the last laugh.

Trivia

• There is speculation amongst fans that Discord had known he would lose since the very beginning, and that he had planned to trick him into going back into his own dimension since the very start, if this ended up being true, it would make Discord's move against Bill even more impressive. Since he had essentially been playing him for a fool the entire time.
