It takes more than words. You can't just talk people into being peaceful. You think I don't want a life like that for AJ? For myself? God, I'd love to live in a world where I didn't have to worry about killing or dying. But that's just not how things fucking work. Not yet. And what you're doing now isn't going to change that.

~ Clementine

Clementine is the main protagonist of Telltale's The Walking Dead video game series, as well as its comic book sequels Clementine Lives and Clementine by Skybound.

She was voiced by Melissa Hutchinson.

What Makes Her a Guile Hero?[]

Season One[]

  • Helps Lee kill a zombified Sandra by giving him the hammer to kill her. Before this, she survives by hiding in her treehouse for two days.
  • Gives Lee the cane to temporarily prevent more walkers from bursting into the drug store.
  • Uses her small size to travel through the air conditioner to rescue everyone from the meat locker.
  • If Lee allows her to Crawford, she saves Molly's life by shooting the walker about to kill her.
  • Rescues herself from the Stranger by informing Lee and the others of her location, and cunningly unlocks the door she was trapped in. Once she does so, she either punches the stranger or hits him with a blunt object, giving Lee the opportunity to attack.
    • Should Lee be too slow to react, she shoots the Stranger and saves Lee's life.
  • When Lee passes out from his infection, she drags him into a store to keep themselves safe.

Season Two[]

  • Stitches up a wound she got from a dog in her arm, and sneaks out of the shed the cabin group locked her into.
  • When William Carver and his group invade the ski lodge and hold the group hostage, she can protect Alvin by running in front of him or by telling Kenny to surrender.
  • Sneaks up against Carver and either shoots him in the shoulder or knocks him down, allowing the cabin group to disarm and cripple him.
  • Even when alone, she is able to fend by herself using only the weapons at her disposal.
  • Uses Jane's techniques to evade walkers using their scent and looting deceased walkers.
  • Attempts to save Luke by either covering him or by using her weight to help him out.

A New Frontier[]

  • Knocks down a tree to take control of a van in order to get back to AJ.

The Final Season[]

  • Appeals to either Louis and Violet to get Marlon to back down, thus exposing the rest of Ericson’s Boarding School the truth of what happened to Minerva, Sophie, and Brody.
  • Although Violet is technically the leader of the school following Marlon’s death, Clementine bears far more influence, as she:
    • Plans out a defense against the Delta’s attack, using barbed wire and picnic tables to slow their progress.
    • Plans out a rescue mission and convincing James to lead a walker herd to distract the Delta, while also planting a bomb on their ship.
    • Uses the walker herd to her advantage to infiltrate the Delta’s ship.
  • Uses the knife AJ gave her to break out of her cell.
  • Thanks to her parenting and teachings, she successfully enables AJ to be a sharp survivor, causing both of their lives to be saved at the final episode’s climax.
  • At the end of the season, she becomes the true leader of Ericson's Boarding School and establishes a safe, happy home for all the remaining students there.
