Catra is the deuteragonist of 2018 Netflix original series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, a reboot of 1985 Filmation series She-Ra: Princess of Power. She is the villainous deuteragonist turned final antagonist in the first season, the secondary antagonist in the second season, the deuteragonist turned main antagonist of the third season, the central antagonist in the fourth season and the deuteragonist in the fifth season. She is Adora/She-Ra's childhood friend, former arch-rival and later girlfriend.
She was once a cadet at the Horde until she was promoted into a Force Captain following Adora's defection. She later became the Horde's second-in-command and later co-commander after Shadow Weaver's imprisonment. At the fifth and final season, she eventually reformed herself, joined the Rebellion and reconciled with Adora. In the series finale, she and Adora became girlfriends.
She is voiced by AJ Michalka.
What Makes Her A Guile Hero?[]
In General[]
- Despite her bullish and wrathful personality, she was able to demonstrate her intelligence as she's able to manipulate others for her benefits, has a great strategic skills and is shown to be a capable leader to the Horde.
- While initially acted toxic and abusive to Scorpia and Entrapta, she began to regret over treating them and became truly friends with them in the fifth and final season.
- Despite trying to hurt or kill her multiple times, she does cared for her childhood friend Adora and her actions are motivated by betrayal. After reconciled with Adora, they eventually became girlfriends in the series finale.
- While she used to be a villain in the first four seasons, she became remorseful over her actions and redeemed herself in the fifth and final season. In the series finale, she subverted her corrupting factors.
Season 1[]
- While infiltrating the Princess Prom event at the Kingdom of Snows palace along with Scorpia, she's capable of covering up her true intentions by pretending to be polite towards Frosta, catches Entrapta when she was about to fall off in front of Adora and tricks Frosta into imprisoning Adora by mocking her in front of her face, all in order to capture Bow and Glimmer and also stole the Sword of Protection.
- Betrayed Shadow Weaver by allowing Entrapta to experiment on the First Ones technology and the Black Garnet, therefore severing her connection from it behind her back.
- While battling Adora during the Horde's raid on the Bright Moon, she is capable of avoid her attack and is smart enough to attack her back easily.
Season 2[]
- Wasted no time to mock both Glimmer and Bow when they held her captive instead of attempting to resist just to buy their time of thinking that Entrapta was being "attacked" until she reveals her betrayal to them, leaving them to be devastated.
- Used the First Ones corrupted disc against Adora to brainwash her into becoming an useful weapon for the Horde and didn't even bothered of keeping her in this state. She refused to destroy it at first until Scorpia did against her wishes.
- When Hordak ordered her to send Shadow Weaver to Beast Island, she allows him to buy more time to trick him into letting Shadow Weaver remain in her cell to save her from being exiled. After Shadow Weaver escaped from the Fright Zone, she attempts to lie to Hordak about it until Imp reveals in front of him.
Season 3[]
- Refused to let Scorpia rescuing her and has the guards escort her from her cell to protect her despite her mistreatment.
- After recruiting the two of Huntara's former goons and defeated Tung Lashor, it allowed her to take control of the entire of his henchmen and manipulates them into following her orders and eventually joins the Horde.
- After tazing Entrapta unconciously and sending her to Beast Island, he tricks Hordak into believing that she has betrayed him out of sheer jealousy, leaving him to be heartbroken after hearing this.
Season 4[]
- Manipulating Hordak into allowing her to be his co-commander so she could have full control over the entire Horde herself.
- Conspired with a shapeshifting creature named Double Trouble and they worked together to drive Adora and Glimmer apart from their friendships. Not only that, it allows the Horde to raid many places in Etheria and having a near victory.
- When Hordak fought her after Double Trouble revealed Entrapta's whereabouts, she never hesitated in psychologically mocking him and smart enough to gain the upperhand on him.
- Telling Horde Prime about the Heart of Etheria to save Etheria from being destroyed and allow him to buy more time to let Etheria to be remained preserved.
Season 5[]
- Wanting to do a good thing in her life, she snuck into Glimmer's cell to help her escape from Horde Prime's ship, even if it means facing her punishment for insubordination.
- Warned Adora to not rescue her from Horde Prime due to being aware of what he is planning to do with her.
- Before Entrapta could remove the chip from her, she began to hear what Horde Prime's been planning to and discovered that he's going to chipped people in Etheria.
- Stopped Adora from taking the failsafe to make Shadow Weaver revealed that She-Ra is the only one who's capable of taking it.
- Discovering that Horde Prime is hacking into Etheria, she went to the Rebellion's old tent to warn Adora and the others about it but only to find Shadow Weaver sitting alone.
- Allowing both Adora and Shadow Weaver to get to the Heart by dealing with the First Ones security monster by herself.
- Confess her love to Adora to allow her to activate the failsafe and allow the Heart to heal the entire Etheria.
