“ | You don't understand Jon, it's like I told you, I was never here. And one more thing, about my name, Artemis- you were right. In London, it is generally a female name, after the Greek goddess of archery. But every now and then, a male comes along with such a talent for hunting that he earns the right to use the name. I am that male. Artemis the hunter. I hunted you. | „ |

Artemis Fowl II is the main protagonist of the book series of the same name. He is a redeemed criminal mastermind who has saved the world from many forces of evil and has worked to use his genius to do good after he was redeemed.
What Makes Him a Guile Hero?[]
- He already has the highest intelligence in Europe at the time.
- He specifically mentioned he doesn't tell people how clever he is because they would be too scared, which really says something since he has outsmarted several people in the past.
- He is great at planning and making those plans fall into place.
- Dresses in a formal suit and glasses, showing he's a very formal and mysterious character.
- He helped his older self defeat Opal Koboi.
- He escaped the time-field during the Fowl Manor Seige by simply falling asleep, a detail the LEP overlooked, and did all this to get the money to save his father, although this would prove almost redundant as he did so by other means.
- He snuck into Mulch's apartment while he was posing as Lance Digger to make him help them get into Koboi Labs.
- He stopped Opal Koboi and Briar Cudgeon from taking over the world by having Foaly send a video message to Opal Koboi.
- Saved his father from the Russian Mafia by creating a plan that got the Russians away from his father that allowed Holly to save him.
- Saved Butler by keeping his body in stasis until Holly could cure him.
- Stopped Jon Spiro from taking over the world with his C-Cube by concocting a plan to use his own arrogance against him by setting him up in Phonetix and having the Los Angeles Police lock him to prevent him harming anyone again, and also donated 90% of his accessible fortune to Amnesty International.
- Just before disappearing behind the cam-foil Holly had, he made one final AMAZING comeback about using his name to imply he hunted Jon Spiro.
- Made a computer disk containing information that would make him remember the LEP when Mulch returned it to him, and cleverly disguised it as the coin Holly gave him after saving his father.
- Changed Mulch Diggum's search warrant in order to work with him in crime, but later to do other things.
- Tried to steal the Fairy Thief from a bank in broad daylight in order to be the best thief of the century, and later donated it to a gallery in Paris.
- Found Opal's shuttle by looking where it wasn't in order to detect her.
- Stopped Opal Koboi from taking over the world by tricking her into blowing up her own shuttle with the charges meant to divert the probe to smash through Haven City by taunting her about the truffles Mulch took from her undetectable Bootybox, what makes it more ironic is she told Merval to keep his finger on the detonation button.
- Tracked demons to figure out where they would materialize to find out more about them, and effectively traveling 100 years in the past to see Gaudi himself and materializing in a few other places.
- Made a plan and destroyed all of Menerva's resources when he made a plan to stop her group from doing this, allowing Foaly to broadcast a fake COS attack on the Chateau Paradizo.
- Made a plan to save Minerva, her father, and all the demons of Hybrus, and tricking Billy Kong into thinking he chose a place when Artemis cleverly influenced him to.
- Took out the silver chip in Number 1's leg and gave it to him, effectively surprising Billy with an amazed look on his face.
- Destroyed Abbot's argument in a truly extraordinary fashion when he showed he was right by demonstrating his magic in front of every one with stunned silence following.
- Thought of a make-shift magic circle to transport Hybrus and everyone on it to safety.
- Saved his 3 companions from Abbot killing them by using the broken time stream to stop Abbot from ever stabbing his friends in the first place.
- Joined the magic circle, which made him sound and look even cooler.
- Has been studying Krackens, (especially the 7th Kracken listed) for years, which helped him in his plans.
- Made a custom laser pointer that can burn through several metal plates or highlight a word on the paper, which he used to bury Opal the Younger to immobilize her.
- He is a good brother to Myles and Beckett and loves them dearly.
- Went back in time again to save his mother from "Spelltrophy" by getting a lemur to cure her.
- Annoyed Holly by getting Mulch Diggums himself to save them from the Bently, smiling smugly in the process.
- Made it up to Holly for blackmailing her to have one last conversation with Commander Root.
- Destroyed Kronski's reputation and other characteristics in an amazing way to save Holly from being executed by the extinctionists.
- Replaced himself with his younger self to stall Opal/Angeline while he came up with a plan.
- Defeated younger Opal Koboi again by tricking her into thinking he was tricking her (meaning he pretended Myle's toy monkey was Jay-Jay and led her away from Fowl Manor) in order to lure her away from Fowl Manor, using the 7th kracken to stop her.
- Tried to come up with a way to defeat climate change and demonstrating it to his friends and allies.
- Tricked Bob Ragby into shocking him, releasing Orion in order to stop Turnball Root.
- Came up with a solution to Dr. Argon's leg while he was recovering from Atlantis Complex.

- Decided to sacrifice himself to save the world, and consoled Holly about what he was going to do.
- Defeated Opal for one FINAL time by using the clone she used to escape prison in order to close the Berserker Gate and end her for good.
- Managed to come back to life by entering a clone after staying as a spirit for 6 months.
- Built a rocket to go to Mars to look for life there.
- Sent Commodore Short a video explaining why Myles and Beckett shouldn't be mindwiped.
